New Harper Playgound

We are thrilled to share that the PTO successfully fundraised for a new 1st - 4th grade playground at Harper School!

The playground, which served our students well for over 20 years, was in need of an update, and we are excited to have created a safe, engaging, and inclusive space for all students to enjoy.  Our vision for the new playground was built on four key priorities:

  • Inclusivity – The proposed equipment will cater to a diverse range of student abilities and needs, allowing all children to play together. We are committed to incorporating ADA-accessible and inclusive play structures that ensure every Harper Dolphin has the opportunity to participate.

  • Imaginative Play – We want our students to be engaged in creative, active play for extended periods. The new equipment will inspire exploration, storytelling, and adventure.

  • Sustainability – We have carefully considered how to replace and diversify our playground equipment to ensure it meets the needs of current and future Harper students for years to come.

  • Fitness & Movement – Keeping kids active is a top priority! The new design will feature equipment that encourages climbing, balancing, and physical activity, promoting a fun and healthy lifestyle.

This huge fundraising event could not have happened without our wonderful Harper community. Every contribution, big or small, helped move this dream closer to reality.

To every parent who donated, volunteered, attended events, purchased raffle tickets, participated in sign-up parties, contributed to the iGNITE Fund, or helped make the Dolphin Dash a success — thank you!
