Fall Book Fair: Coming Soon!
We are excited to announce that our 2025 Harper Book Fair will start on November 11th, 2025.
Get ready to experience the magic of discovering new books, favorite characters, and shopping the book fair with your kids at Harper. All purchases will benefit Harper directly.
When: November 11th – 14th

- Wednesday, Nov 12 @ 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Thursday, Nov 13 @ 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday, Nov 14 @ 9:00am – 3:15pm

*Online pre-orders of the new Dogman placed by next Friday, November 7 will be delivered to Harper on 11/11 with free shipping. Make sure to type "Harper Elementary School, Wilmette" in the "Order Comments" section at the bottom of the order page.
This year, we are working with a new vendor, Anderson’s Bookfair Company. While the amazing book selection and format will largely be the same, there are a few changes to note:
- Cash, credit card and Apple Pay accepted. Students who wish to use Apple Pay on a personal device will be allowed temporary access to their devices for book fair purchases during school hours. There is no longer an eWallet option. (If you have remaining funds on your Scholastic Book Fair eWallet from years past, you are still welcome to use them on the Scholastic website.)
- Shop tax-free! As an Illinois-based company, Anderson’s has enabled us to offer this year’s Book Fair as a tax-exempt school fundraiser so the prices you see on the books at the fair are what you will pay - tax-free! A portion of every sale will go back to Harper for more books for our library and classrooms.
- Limited toy and knickknack selection. There will still be some toys and knickknacks available at this year’s fair, but not as abundant as previous years. We are excited to focus more on books and hope you will be pleased with this change, too!

When can parents shop at the fair?
Parents are welcome during all book fair hours:
- Tuesday, Nov 11 @ 3:15pm – 5:00pm
- Wednesday, Nov 12 @ 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Thursday, Nov 13 @ 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday, Nov 14 @ 9:00am – 3:15pm
Please note the hour immediately after dismissal tends to be the busiest time. Quieter times are typically Wednesday evening and during the school day.
Will students be allowed to shop during the school day?
Yes! Each class will be given the opportunity to sign up for an in-school shopping window at the teacher’s discretion.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, credit card and Apple Pay.
Can students use their Apple devices during school to purchase books?
Yes! Students with Apple devices will be allowed to use those devices during their class in-school shopping time. All devices must be stored in lockers before and after this time, per regular school guidelines.
What if I can’t make it to the fair to shop with my student?
You can shop online during Book Fair week at abcfairs.com. Online orders must be placed by Friday, November 14 in order to ship free to Harper by 11/17. After 11/14, any online purchases will be sent to the buyer's home address and will incur shipping costs. Please note "Harper Elementary School, Wilmette" in the "Order Comments" section of your order. All online orders will include sales tax.
Will the Book Fair have the November 11 release of the new Dogman book?
Yes, but we anticipate a limited number of copies that will sell fast. If you wish to guarantee a copy for your child, pre-order online at abcfairs.com. Online pre-orders of Dogman placed before 11/7 will be delivered to Harper on 11/11 with free shipping. Make sure to type "Harper Elementary School, Wilmette" in the "Order Comments" section at the bottom of the order page. Please note: online orders are not tax-exempt.
When is a less busy/quieter time to shop at the fair?
The hour immediately after dismissal tends to be the busiest time. Quieter times are typically Wednesday evening and during the school day.
How will I know what books my child is looking for?
Before the fair officially opens to all, students will have classroom previews during the school day next Tuesday so be on the lookout for their wishlists. The fair hours listed above indicate when both parents and students are welcome to shop.
