iGNITE is the Harper PTO’s annual fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting enrichment programming for our children. Each year, Harper students benefit from field trips, visiting speakers, STEM experiences, theatre performances and more. In District 39, enrichment programs are solely funded by iGNITE contributions, which are collected at every D39 school. Your iGNITE fees go right back to your kids!
Below are some event highlights that iGNITE sponsored from the 2022-2023 school year:
- Field trips across all the grades, from Kindergarten’s visit to the Emily Oaks Nature Center to
4th Grade’s adventure to the Museum of Science + Industry
- A brand new Harper Garden overhaul, including planting new crops chosen in a student survey and an outdoor curriculum coming this fall
- In-school speakers, such as award-winning author Cynthia Lord, mathematician Mike Byster and environmental educator Joey Feinstein
- A special first-time assembly with Misericordia residents and staff, as well as our annual Griffin’s Tale theatre performances
The Harper PTO’s suggested annual iGNITE fee is $130 per student to fully offset activity costs, but any contribution is welcome. Payments are easy to make at the beginning of the school year through Membership Toolkit. All donations are tax deductible.
We thank all of the parents who contribute to the iGNITE Fund to make enrichment possible for every child at Harper!
You will also be able to make a donation to the Harper iGNITE Fund, purchase birthday books, and contribute to Teacher/Staff Gifts through the Membership Toolkit Store.
