| Harper Chorus
What is Chorus? Members will study the fundamentals of singing, learn the language of choral music, and prepare for public performances. The Harper Chorus is a traditional choral experience using a wide variety of musical styles, from folk and classical to popular music. The students will learn to sing in unison and in parts while learning to work together as an ensemble. There will be opportunities throughout the year for solos and small group experiences.
Who Is Eligible? Membership is open to students in grades 2, 3, and 4 at Harper School.
Fee: for Chorus for the spring semester is $50.00.
Rehearsal Schedule 1. The first rehearsal will be Thursday, January 5, 2012. 2. The Harper Chorus rehearses Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school from 8:10-8:50 in the auditorium. 3. It is essential that students are on time for rehearsals, as the first 15 minutes are dedicated to warming up their voices and working on fundamentals. 4. Students are expected to sign in when they arrive.
Spring Choral Concert: There will be two concerts during the Spring Session. A District 39 Chorus Program where Harper Students will sing with HMS and WJHS on March 7, 2012 and the Harper Family Concert which we are still deciding on a date in April.

| Small Chorus
What is small chorus? The purpose of this group is to provide third and fourth grade students an opportunity to sing harmony in a small group setting and to further develop their skills. Participating in a small group allows the student to develop greater independence in part singing and promotes a greater sense of responsibility to the group. Students will be expected to be present for each rehearsal unless they are absent from school that day. Due to the limited number of times we will rehearse together, the student will not be allowed more than one unexcused absence.
Who is eligible? Membership in Small Chorus is open to students in grades 3 and 4 who are already participating in Harper's chorus program.
Fee: small chorus registration is $20.00.
Rehearsals:
Monday, January 23 Monday, January 30 Monday, February 6 Monday, February 13 Monday, February 27 Monday, March 5 Monday, March 12 Monday, March 19
Important: Insert Child's Name(s) (if more than one) and their teacher's name(s) before clicking on the "Add To Cart" button. Also, you must print, sign and return the Small Chorus permission slip (see below) to Kate Lambros at Harper. No students will be allowed into the group without a signed permission form.
