Harper PTO

Each fall the Harper PTO supports a special event called the Harper Hoedown. This has been an annual event since 2004. The Harper Hoedown is cherished by our children and community as a fun family celebration which welcomes the start of a new school year!

The Harper Hoedown is planned for a Sunday afternoon in mid September. It is a carnival-type event with amusement rides, games, prizes and entertainment.   Carnival amusement rides are rented from local companies, including a super slide, “tubs-of-fun”, pony rides, and a dunk tank! The games and prizes are organized by the Harper PTO and parent community.  Entertainment is provided by local performers and a variety of carnival food is available for purchase. 

In 2010, we reintroduced a previous tradition of whipped cream pie eating contests and enjoyed many laughs amidst friendly and funny competition. Each year, the Harper Hoedown committee works to bring in new activities and to build on a wonderful Harper tradition.  We hope you will join us for this special Harper event each fall!!
